1. Advantages of lightweighting

(1) Material composite weight reduction

Bimetallic screws usually use a combination of an outer layer of light alloy and an inner layer of high-strength metal.

(2) Potential to replace traditional metals

In the trend of lightweight materials for automobiles, magnesium-aluminum alloys, high-strength steel, etc. are gradually replacing traditional steel. By combining an outer layer of light alloy with an inner layer of high-strength steel, bimetallic screws not only solve the problem of insufficient strength of a single light alloy, but also avoid the weight redundancy of a full steel structure. They are suitable for key parts such as chassis and battery pack fixation.

(3) Synergistic effect with vehicle lightweighting

Electric vehicles require systematic weight reduction. As connectors, bimetallic screws can reduce the load requirements of surrounding components.

2. High-performance advantages

(1) Enhanced corrosion and wear resistance
Electric vehicle battery systems and chassis are often exposed to corrosive environments such as moisture and salt spray. Bimetallic screws can improve corrosion resistance through an outer layer of stainless steel or plated alloy, while an inner layer of high-strength steel ensures fatigue resistance in the core load-bearing area and extends service life.

(2) High temperature and dynamic load adaptability
The motor and battery system generate high temperatures when running, and traditional magnesium alloys are easy to soften, but bimetallic screws can withstand high temperature environments through the high melting point inner layer material. At the same time, the composite structure can absorb vibration energy and reduce the risk of thread loosening.

(3) Reliability of heterogeneous material connection
In the connection between carbon fiber body and metal parts, the heterogeneous interface design of bimetallic screws can alleviate the stress concentration problem caused by the difference in thermal expansion coefficients and avoid the breakage or falling off of traditional screws due to material mismatch.
